It was in 2012 that I decided my love of the Eurovision Song Contest and knitting needed to come together. This dress contains the flags of all the countries that have ever participated in the competition knitted in alphabetical order plus sleeves of the EU flag. Then, joy! Mel Giedroyc and 2105 Eurovision winner Mans Zelmerlow happened to be in the Radio Sussex studio at the same time as the dress and we all found ourselves being interviewed together *swoon* soundcloud.com/nina-dodd-899723946/sequence-01
2014 saw my knitted re-interpretation of the UK Eurovision entry "Children of the Universe". Got quite ambitious with the whole youtube thing thanks to the help of animator Nathaniel Statton. Some people have found it a little unsettling, which I think can only be good.
2015 is of course the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo AND the 60th anniversary of Eurovision. What should I do? This of course.....(thanks again to Nathaniel Statton for his sterling animation)
